Peace

I'm about to go to bed, and I thought I'd blog first. I am in such a peaceful mood. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's great, I'm never like this. It seemed to start as I was driving home from Corpus in the moonlight listening to the last half of the Hours soundtrack (by Phillip Glass). It was beautiful, and I felt good, and healthy, and un-stressed out.

I woke up today at 7:55, got in a bath that someone had just gotten out of (I think it was my dad) got out, ate some raisin bran, grabbed my tape player with the 71st mars Hill Audio tape, and went to work at 8:30. At work I mostly trimmed palm trees and painted 2x4s, but I got to listen to Mars Hill while I did it, which made up for the monotony. I came home for lunch and watched some of the making of the second Matrix, mostly how they made the FX. Back at work Painted more and listened to the RUF lectures by John Ferguson on Dating, marriage and Sex. Which were good. Then I came home at 5:30 and got in another bath and started reading Fidelity by Doug Wilson, until someone needed to use the restroom (oddly enough, we have but one bathroom). Then I ate Tacos my mom made, and left to go to Veritas (the reformed campus ministry at TAMU corpus) It was good, about 7 people there. After that I helped a friend hook up his computer and headed back to rockport (45 min drive). 10:10 I get home, drink some water, feel good, talk to my mom, then watch the first 10 min of Blue, which looks good, Now I think I'll go to bed. No, i think I'll read my Bible and then goto bed. :)

PS
While I'm waiting for the internet to connect, I may as well write more...
I just fineshed reading A Scanner Darkly by Phillip K dick. I've wanted to read him for a while, so many SciFi movies have been based on his stories. It was good, sometimes crude, lots of language, but very interesting. It's about a drug dealer/addict who's also a Drug police officer.
Richard Linklater, who made one of my fav. movies Waking Life, is making it into a movie and animating it like he did in Waking Life. It's supposed to be the first faithful movie made from Phillip K dick. I'm looking forward to it.
